Project For Architectural Photography:
Originally a timber framed barn before being transformed under class Q legislation and a subsequent application for a replacement dwelling. The clients ‘Living Space Architects’ wanted clear sharp unfussy images clearly showing how the conversion still sat nestled into its surrounding in the same way the original timber barn did.

Reflections:
I am always interested in any architectural photography project. There is however, something always a little more interesting with a class Q barn conversion photo-shoot. It was a particular joy for me this shoot and I was in awe at how the architects had worked in so much functionality to such a small structure, and yet still left a feeling of space and lightness. An intriguing building to photograph in a stunning location on the side of a hill just outside Totnes in South Devon.
If you are interested in this building from an architectural perspective have a look at Torridge District Council Building, Bideford, Devon we photographed on behalf of its architect Trewin Design
